ARE YOU READY FOR QUILTED SOUNDS?
Standalone Saturday poster for Louisville Experimental Music Night, curated by 2025 resident artist Jason Lamoreaux
Oct 3 and 4 we will be hosting our first in what will be our new tradition: An annual fundraiser coinciding with St James Art Fair. This festival will be the opportunity to share our story with the largest crowd Old Louisville sees all year and offer the kind of independent cultural programming we would hope to find at such a celebration. It starts Friday with a collection of showcases presented by our programming committee and board. Saturday will feature an artist talk with Charlie Walsh, free morning yoga, a free participatory protest choir group, and a showcase of local experimental electronic and ambient musicians curated by 2025 Woodbine Chamber Sound Residency Artist Jason Lamoreaux (of Corrupting Sea). The space will be hosting a solo gallery show of politically charged textile work by Juliet Taylor.

Celebrate the Woodbine Chamber
We wanted to create this event to yearly celebrate our achievements as an organization. For example in the past year:
- we adopted a new name,
-completed stabilizing work to the cupola bell tower,
—progressed strategically on our path to building ownership,
- helped raise over $10,000 for Peace Dove
- launched our largest and most formailzed residency program, supporting 6 local artists
- fiscal sponsored a Fund For The Arts Mini Grant for a performance by Saw Peep
- recruited 5 new board members, significantly reduced the median age of the board, and have more artists on the board than ever before
- released a free compilation of live recordings
- BIGGEST NEWS of all, we created monumental progress toward receiving ownership of our two buildings from our parent organization, Vernon Robertson Urban Charities, Inc.
